Abbie first came to Sheridan following a bad experience with lip filler at a large, well-known clinic.
The previous treatment had left her lips with visible lumps and unevenness which had then been filled with further product to ‘smooth’ out the bumps.
While Abbie had hoped that the her lip filler would gradually dissolve by itself, it had instead migrated further above her top lip resulting giving the illusion of a ‘filler moustache.’
After a rhinoplasty operation in 2021 her lips looked even further distorted in relation to her new nose. So, following years of living with the poor results of her initial treatment, Abbie sought Sheridan’s guidance to create beautiful, natural lips that would compliment her new nose and the structure of her face.
During the consultation it was agreed that in order to achieve her desired look, it would be necessary for Abbie to have the migrated, over-injected filler removed from her lips. This would enable me to analyse her face as a blank canvas and assess the best treatment for this patient. After the filler was dissolved it was apparent that Abbie had a beautiful, natural lip shape that would need a delicate product to enhance them.
Following her rhinoplasty Abbie was keen to explore various facial sculpting options to help rebalance her facial features, looking at the following treatments; chin, cheek and lip augmentation.
After successfully dissolving all of the lip filler I subtly defined and shaped Abbie’s lips using 0.7ml of Restylane.
As Abbie has a naturally full lip it was important not to overfill them and to use a delicate product that would enhance her lovely natural lip shape rather than distort it where previously her over inflated lips had dominated the rest of her face.
2ml of dermal filler was used to add volume and definition to Abbie’s cheeks and 1ml of dermal filler to her chin, creating her desired ‘v-shape’ structure to her face.
“Being an ethical, patient centred clinic we respect all of our patient’s decisions. We will advise and provide sufficient information in order for an individual to make an educated decision about their elective procedure.”
“Although Abbie was initially very reluctant to withhold from continued use of extreme aesthetic treatments, I felt grateful that she had the confidence in my aesthetic eye to trust my advice in understanding the benefits of subtle enhancements.”
“After years of living with the botched results of my first procedure, I’d grown too used to the oversized appearance of my lips and normalised them. It was dysmorphic. Following my rhinoplasty it was glarily obviously how large they really were, and how off balance they truly looked compared to the rest of my features. I am so delighted to finally have a ‘natural’ look and I feel so much less self conscious about my lips. I am truly grateful to Sheridan for showing me how big of an impact subtle enhancements can make.” Abbie
