Feminisation Treatments

Non-invasive facial feminisation treatments

There are certain facial features and characteristics that are considered to symbolise the ‘ideal’ female face; a narrower, delicate jawline and chin, lifted brows and fuller lips and cheeks. Feminisation treatments, using dermal filler, are injected into these areas to give the face an overall softer appearance by creating more feminine attributes.

What do facial feminisation treatments involve?
Non-invasive facial feminisation treatments can be used alone, or alongside facial surgery to achieve beautiful, natural results. Typically facial feminisation treatments involve the use of dermal fillers (and in some cases anti-wrinkle injections) to sculpt, lift, add volume and augment the facial features to create a more feminine look.

The most common areas that we treat are:

  • The Chin and Jawline : Softening the ‘squarer’ angles of a wider chin and jaw to create a softer, rounder chin adding delicate curvature to the jawline. This procedure is carried out using dermal-filler though although in some cases, anti-wrinkle injections may be used to soften and reduce prominent masseter muscles along the jawline.
  • Cheeks and mid-section : Volume and fullness in the cheek and mid-face are typically considered to be feminine attributes. Dermal filler can be used to enhance and round the cheeks providing additional lift to the middle of the face.
  • Lips : Full lips are one of the most coveted features on a woman; dermal filler can be used to sculpt, enhance and volumise the lips in order to create a soft and subtle fullness.
  • Brows : A heavier brow is often associated with a masculine facial structure, and can also give a tired or unhappy appearance. Through the use of anti-wrinkle injections we are able to subtly arch to the eyebrows, as well as ‘open up’ the appearance of the eyes, a symbol of youth and femininity.
  • Forehead Sculpting : Typical masculine bone structure usually results in a wide and flat forehead area, whilst women typically have more curvature to the shape of their forehead. Through the use of dermal filler we are able to subtly sculpt and shape the forehead in order to create the illusion of a softer upper face.
